My drawing practice explores the question of erasure and the negative in narratives of traces, memory and history. I’m working on a new drawings based-installation that questions what constitutes the documents which form history and examines how the act of isolating and moving objects (from the material to the immaterial) already constitutes the beginning of a narrative. Both material and immaterial forms are visually reflected in my drawings where pigment and lead-mine residue seem to vanish into the surface of the paper.
