FACILITIES+EQUIPMENT
The 40 m2 residency studio is a bright, open space simply furnished with access to a large terrace and a rooftop terrace (where there is a canteen/cafe). The studio includes a spacious worktable, a small dining table, a double bed, a bathroom with a washing machine, and a fully equipped kitchenette. Living / working and sleeping areas are separated by a curtain. There are metal workshops, carpenters, photographers, and film and photo equipment rentals. Rampe70, which is connected to Gleis70, offers spaces for rent. Through connecting with the people in the house, there is access to product designers, 3D printers, ceramic ovens, and more. A bike is available for use.
SUPPORT+PROGRAMME
The studios of the Gleis70 team are located on the same floor, which facilitates the connection in house. The residency team arranges two open studios, one in the beginning (meet & greet) and one towards the end, in which the residency artist presents the result of their research. The team can assist in preparing the presentation, and in organising the materials for their projects. There are over 100 people working in various fields in the Gleis70 building, all of whom it is always possible to connect with. Zurich’s art scene is vibrant, and the residency artist can enjoy activities held in different venues.
Our announcements are published on this website, and on Instagram.
